Beginner guide

How to play Nebula

Start small, expand carefully and assume the galaxy is less friendly than it looks.

1. Secure your home system

Begin by understanding your home world, nearby planets and any immediate economic opportunities. Early stability matters more than flashy expansion.

2. Build production

Grow resource income, improve infrastructure and make sure your colonies can support research, construction and fleet operations.

3. Explore with intent

Use scouts and scans to reveal systems, locate risks and identify where future colonies or military footholds should be placed.

4. Research for advantage

Technology shapes what you can build, where you can travel and how effectively you can defend your holdings.

5. Watch diplomacy closely

Not every race behaves the same way. Some can be appeased, some can be negotiated with and some are better treated as future combat reports.

6. Expand without overextending

New colonies are powerful, but stretched supply lines and exposed systems can turn a good expansion phase into a disaster.

Core gameplay loop

Explore new systems, identify viable worlds, build your economy, unlock stronger technologies, create ships, move them intelligently and react to changing conditions in the galaxy. A strong Nebula player is not just rich or aggressive. A strong Nebula player knows when to fortify, when to probe, when to cut losses and when to hit first.
